Can't play, steam stuck in validation loop [fixed] ok i just tried to launch the game and now steam keeps showing that there's a download but when it reaches 100% it restarts, when i check the list view it keeps saying validating. also when i first tried to launch it started an update, then said it failed to update because of corrupted files. But this loop has a draw back: your updates will be locked to your frame rate, in a simple game this might be okay, but if you want to make a physic simulation you don't want that. fixed timestep. with fixed timesteps your game loop will be time-based instead of frame-locked and it is more deterministic than a variable timestep..
